ABOUT ME

I’m Aly, an Aussie living in the heart of Yorkshire, balancing life with two energetic young sons while pursuing my passion for pottery.

 

Since 2015, I’ve been working with clay, honing my craft both here in the UK and back home in Australia. My studio is a place where creativity flows freely, offering everything from unique commissioned pieces to immersive wheel-throwing and hand-building classes.

 

My work is inspired by the intriguing possibilities within different stonewares, often blending them to achieve striking, unexpected effects. I’m especially drawn to experimenting with glazes in bold, chaotic combinations that defy the usual rules yet create harmony in their unpredictability. Each piece is entirely unique, a reflection of my belief that beauty can be found in the unplanned and unconventional.
